ABOUT THE BOOK
 
The Hanafi author, Salah Abu al-Hajj, first deals with Fiqh in general and its evolution from the Prophet to the schools of Fiqh. He also deals with the following of the schools and ijtihad. In all these chapters he does not only talk about the Hanafi school but also about the other three schools. He also takes care to refute the division among the Fuqaha between Ahl al-Ray (people of Opinion) and Ahl al-Hadith (people of Hadith).
