ABOUT THE BOOK

A precious work in the Prophetic Biography, consisting of two treatises.

The first is entitled 'مورد الصفا في مولد المصطفي ﷺ' by the eminent scholar and hadith expert Muhammad ibn ‘Alī ibn Allan al-Sadiqi al-Makkī (d. 557 AH). In it, he compiled what he authored regarding the Prophet’s ﷺ birth and its permissibility, beginning with reports related to lineage and honor, then proceeding to the events surrounding his birth. He did so with careful attention to scholarly research and academic precision, concluding with a discussion clarifying the legal ruling regarding commemorating the Mawlid.

The second treatise is entitled الفجر المنیر فی مولد البشیر النذیر by the scholar Taha bin Muhammad al-Jabarini (d. 1178 AH). In this work, he explains the nobility and virtue of the Prophetic birth and what is connected to it. He discusses the comparison between the night of the Prophet’s birth and Laylat al-Qadr, presents a concise account of the most important scholarly benefits related to the Prophet’s ﷺ birth and upbringing in Banū Sa‘d, and includes mention of the incident of the splitting of his chest ﷺ.

The book concludes with a set of comprehensive scholarly indexes to facilitate access to its benefits.
