ABOUT THE BOOK

Sharh Mushkilaat al-Quduri is a classical Islamic legal work that provides a detailed commentary on the Mukhtasar al-Quduri, one of the foundational texts of Hanafi jurisprudence authored by Imam Abū al-Ḥusayn Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Quduri al-Baghdadi (d. 428 AH).

The commentary was composed by Muḥammad ibn Maḥmūd ibn ʿAbd al-Karīm al-Kurdarī, known as Badr al-Dīn al-Ḥanafī (d. 651 AH), and it serves to elucidate difficult points (mashakil) and explain problematic juristic issues found in the original text.

Published in two volumes and the result of academic verification and annotation, Sharh Mashakil al-Quduri remains an important reference in classical Islamic legal literature and Hanafi jurisprudential studies.
