ABOUT THE BOOK

The book reflects on the important position of traditional Madaris in preserving and transmitting Islamic knowledge and considers the responsibilities carried by those who teach, study and serve within these institutions.

Particular attention is given to the role of Ulama and students, encouraging them to recognise the responsibility attached to religious knowledge, maintain the values and objectives of traditional Islamic education, and contribute positively towards the continued strength of the Madrasah system.
