ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is published for the first time from the scholarly legacy of Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim al-Banna. Written in a style that is easy to read yet rich in meaning, it combines clarity of expression with depth of insight, making it accessible to a wide range of readers while retaining strong academic value.
The content originates from a series of Qur’anic radio lectures delivered by the author in Makkah al-Mukarramah between 1986 and 1987, during his tenure as a professor at Umm al-Qura University. These lectures were presented spontaneously rather than prepared in written form, lending the work a natural, engaging tone. A total of 52 recorded sessions form the basis of this book.
In his approach, Dr. al-Banna examines subtle differences between Qur’anic words with closely related meanings, demonstrating how context plays a decisive role in uncovering precise and hidden nuances. This methodology reflects his well-known work on semantic distinctions and highlights the importance of contextual analysis in understanding the Qur’an.
The book has been carefully edited and reviewed with minimal editorial intervention, preserving the author’s original voice and intent. It is hoped that this work appears as closely as possible to how the author himself would have wished it to be presented. This publication offers readers a valuable and insightful contribution to Qur’anic studies, blending scholarly rigor with accessibility.
