Arabic is the language in which the Qur’an was revealed. It is necessary to learn this language in order to understand the Qur’an. The Arabic language has a vast and rich vocabulary, and it possesses the unique ability to convey many meanings within a single expression.

Anyone who wishes to acquire proficiency in Arabic and develop the ability to understand its deeper meanings must study its grammar and structure. It is through grammar that a person is able to distinguish between different meanings and understand the precise intent of speech.

There are various branches of Arabic grammar, among which the most important are Nahw (syntax) and Sarf (morphology). Through these sciences, a student is able to understand how words are formed, how sentences are structured, and how meanings change according to grammatical position.

The difference between simple reading and true understanding lies in grammar. Without grammar, a person may read Arabic words, but will not be able to grasp their correct meaning, depth, or implications.

This book has been compiled to fulfil this need, so that students may develop a correct understanding of Arabic grammar and become capable of understanding the Qur’an and Hadith in their original language. It aims to make the learning of Arabic grammar simple, systematic, and beneficial.
