This book marks the first published work of Mawlana Sarfaraz Khan Safdar, a scholar whose contributions have left a lasting impact on traditional Islamic scholarship. In this pioneering effort, he addresses and resolves a critical misunderstanding stemming from a passage in Imam Tahawi’s Sharh Ma‘ani al-Athar—a classical text of hadith.

Some prominent scholars, upon reading a particular section, assumed that Imam Tahawi had taken a stance permitting the acceptance of Zakah and Sadaqah for the Banu Hashim, seemingly at odds with the consensus of the Imams of Ahl al-Sunnah.

With scholarly precision and compelling evidence, Mawlana Sarfaraz Khan Safdar dispelled these doubts, demonstrating that Imam Tahawi's position aligns with that of the broader Sunni tradition, including the leading Muhaddithun (hadith scholars) and Mufassirun (Qur’anic exegetes).
