مجموع رسائل في أحكام الذكر مع الجنازة ووصول ثواب التلاوة للأموات
ABOUT THE BOOK
his book is a concise and valuable collection of six short legal treatises authored by a group of distinguished Maliki scholars. It addresses a number of commonly discussed issues related to devotional practice and communal worship—topics that are frequently asked about and have long been the subject of scholarly discussion.
Among the matters examined are the permissibility of raising the voice in dhikr, engaging in collective remembrance and supplication, the question of whether the reward of Qur’an recitation reaches the deceased, and the communal recitation of prescribed litanies (ḥizb) after the Maghrib and Fajr prayers—practices well known in both the eastern and western Muslim lands.
The book highlights the differences of opinion among jurists, presenting views that range between permissibility and prohibition, and situating them within the broader framework of classical Islamic jurisprudence. To enhance clarity and benefit, the editor has carefully prepared the text with scholarly introductions, explanatory notes, clarifications, and annotations, and concluded it with useful academic indexes.
