This tafsir is known for presenting a balanced middle path in interpretation—neither overly long and cumbersome nor too brief to be useful. It synthesizes linguistic, theological, and juristic insights, drawing on earlier works such as Al-Baydawi and Al-Kashshaf, while maintaining clarity and moderation in its approach. 

Al-Nasafi carefully selects hadiths, explores different modes of Qur’anic recitation (qirāʾāt), and incorporates elements of rhetoric and syntax to enrich understanding. His tafsīr is respected for avoiding weak reports and unnecessary speculative interpretation, focusing instead on interpretations aligned with Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah. 

Traditionally taught alongside other major works like Al-Baydawi and Al-Jalalayn, Tafsir al-Nasafi remains influential in traditional Islamic curricula and is valued for its clarity, reliability, and scholarly rigor.
